Frequently Asked Questions

What do you mean by Nordic circuit inspired experience?

In a Nordic circuit, you move through 3–4 rounds of heating in the sauna and cooling in cold water or the snowy outdoors. Each cycle includes 5–15 minutes in the sauna, where temperatures range from 160–190°F, followed by a cooling period. Cold options include a lake plunge, an outdoor shower, or time spent in the cold room or outdoors. These cycles provide contrast therapy, promote relaxation, and support overall wellness.

How do the sessions work?

We offer public community sessions and private sessions.

In our community sessions, you reserve a single seat and enjoy the sauna alongside others. It’s a relaxed way to connect with the community while experiencing sauna at an accessible price. Capped at 12 participants.

Private sessions give you the sauna all to yourself — whether you’re seeking quiet relaxation or celebrating with friends and family. Enjoy the full Nordic circuit experience in a cozy, wood-fired setting designed just for your group.

How many people can fit in the sauna?

Short answer: 12–14. Public community sauna sessions are capped at 12 to give everyone a bit more space and comfort. For private groups of friends and family, a few more can join if you’re willing to get real cozy.

Can I rent the sauna to bring to my house or event?

No, you come to us — like a brick-and-mortar sauna, but on wheels. We set up at a few scenic locations and stay in place for 6–12 weeks at a time.

Where do we find you?

We spend time in Belgrade Lakes, Carrabassett Valley (the winter ski season) and Freeport.

What should I bring?

Bring two towels (one for sitting on in the sauna and one for drying off), water for hydration, maybe some water shoes if you’d like.

Do you always have cold plunging?

Depending on the location, you can plunge into wild waters or the cold outdoor shower. In the heart of winter, snow and the outdoors provide contrast therapy — keeping it invigorating no matter the season or location.

What is sauna etiquette?

Please avoid fragrances, such as perfume and other scented body products, to keep the air clean and fresh to breathe.

When entering and exiting the hot room, limit the time the door is open — every moment counts for keeping the sauna up to temperature.

Before adding water to the rocks, check with others — some enjoy it, others don’t. In public sessions, be conservative: one ladle at a time keeps it comfortable for everyone.
